What is Defy+?

Defy+ is a self defence workshop tailored to queer and trans folks. Our method of self defence is based in feminist empowerment self defence. It's not about rules, it's about building a toolbox of skills that we can keep in our back pocket should we ever need it. In this workshop we'll cover verbal self defence, hits, kicks, wrist releases, choke releases and more. All of the techniques are easy to learn, easy to remember, and can be adapted to access needs. This workshop is open to anyone who is a part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community (students, staff, faculty, and community members).
