November 25, 2025 - University and CUPE 4580 Ratify Collective Agreement
September 26, 2025 University and CUPE 1393 Ratify Collective Agreement 
September 18, 2025 - University reaches tentative agreement with CUPE 1393. The tentative agreement will require ratification by both parties.
September 18, 2025 - University reaches tentative agreements with Unifor 444 Special Constable Service and Unifor 2458 Operating Engineers. The tentative agreements will require ratification by the parties.  
June 20, 2025 - Unifor 444 Special Constable Service and Unifor 2458 Operating Engineers begin talks with University to negotiate tentative agreements
June 3, 2025 - University reaches tentative agreement with WUFA, ratification by both parties pending
June 2, 2025 - University and CUPE 1393 continue talks to negotiate tentative agreement
June 2, 2025 - CUPE 4580 submits Notice to Bargain
May 30, 2025 - Unifor 444 Special Constable Service submits Notice to Bargain
May 30, 2025 - Unifor 2458 Operating Engineers submits Notice to Bargain
May 12, 2025 - WUFA submits Notice to Bargain
February 26, 2025 - CUPE 1393 submits Notice to Bargain

The University and bargaining agents (unions) negotiate collective agreements that govern members’ terms of employment. Labour relations are integral to furthering the University’s mission of empowering positive change through regionally and globally engaged inquiry, learning, scholarship, creative activity, and research.
 
Collective bargaining is a key aspect of labour relations at the University of Windsor. University administration respects the collective bargaining process and is committed to working collaboratively to reach negotiated agreements with the unions.
 
The collective bargaining process is conducted in accordance with the Ontario Labour Relations Act. The University approaches all negotiations with the objective of reaching an agreement that is mutually satisfactory, fiscally responsible, and capable of being ratified successfully.
