Profiled Entrance Awards

Award Description: One scholarship available to a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (includes those with Protected Persons status) meeting OSAP Ontario residency requirements entering a program within the School of Creative Arts (SoCA) or School of Dramatic Arts directly from an Ontario secondary school. Students must have a minimum scholarship average of 90% and demonstrated financial need.  This fund was established by Dr. Wildeman and his wife Dr. Debra Henderson. Dr. Wildeman served as President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Windsor from 2008 and 2018.  Included in his vision for the University of Windsor was a belief that the arts play an essential role in the intellectual and creative fabric of a campus and the vibrancy of communities.  Apply on-line.

Award Description: Several bursaries will be awarded annually to students entering Year 1 directly from a Windsor/Essex County high school, to full time studies at the University of Windsor. Eligible applicants must be in good academic standing with demonstrated involvement in extra-curricular activities and have demonstrated financial need. Recipients must commit to working with at least one mentor in an extracurricular activity throughout their undergraduate program. Recipients may be considered for renewal in Year 2, 3 and 4 provided they continue to meet the eligibility requirements and submit a self-assessment letter and recommendation from their mentor each year.  Apply on-line.

Award Description: The LC Memorial Award for FNMI Students in STEM has been established to encourage the study of science, technology, engineering, and math among students who identify themselves as members of First Nation, Metis and Inuit communities.  The award is to be granted to any FNMI, who demonstrates financial need and who is enrolls full-time in a science, technology, engineering or math program at the University of Windsor.  Students must have a minimum admission average of 75% and must maintain a minimum of a 75% scholarship average in the program of study to be eligible for renewal for up to 3 additional years.  As part of the application process, students must submit a self-reflection statement indicating the effect that the award will have on their academic career.  Preference will be given to FNMI students from the province of Ontario.  Apply on-line.

Award Description: Several awards are available to Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents (includes those with Protected Persons status) residing in Ontario who are entering any undergraduate program directly from an Ontario High School.  Students must have a minimum scholarship average (based on final and interim grades as of May) of 95%, demonstrate financial need, and have developed strong leadership qualities through an ongoing commitment to school and community activities.  Awards are renewable for subsequent terms on the condition that students maintain a minimum 80% scholarship average, and demonstrate financial need.  Established in 1998 in honour of the late Dr. Ron W. 2) Log on to https://ask.uwindsor.ca to submit a service request and a Student Awards or Financial Aid Representative will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.

3) Call our office during our phone service hours.  A Student Award or Financial Aid Representative may be able to resolve your issue over the phone.

4) If options 1) through 3) do not resolve your issue,  we will schedule you a virtual Teams meeting/appointment with a Student Awards or Financial Aid Specialist for a time that is mutually convenient.
